Filmmaking Camp

Landon Carver Summer English Language & Filmmaking Camps 2017 give our participants from all over Europe an opportunity to participate in Certificated English Language classes and fun, interactive & educational Filmmakers Workshops meeting the requirements and standards of the vastly developing film industry around Europe. The camps combine structured English classes with a wide range of film-related activities & theory based lectures.

Here at Landon Carver, we provide the accommodation, language classes, full catering for the week, the use of all necessary specialist equipment and the qualified lecturers required for all workshops and
activities.  We guarantee a well organised week of fun and adventure!!

Our language classes are delivered by certified and highly qualified lecturers and trainers with years of experience in the language and education sector.

The participants will focus on four main skills of English language – reading, writing, speaking and listening. They will also focus on developing and improving their grammar, vocabulary, communicative abilities and confidence with the use of English Language in everyday life.

English lessons are generally based on everyday topics and are active, task-based and relevant to the current needs.

Our filmmaking camp consists of a series of theoretical class/field based introductions and hands-on workshops followed by specific filming/editing/directing tasks designed to help you discover your own strengths, weaknesses and your own way of communicating through cinematic content.

All the activities will be broken down into specific tasks, which will be discussed in the classroom and then reviewed, presented and discussed with other members of the group – to learn more about the work and approaches of other filmmakers and get different vantage points on your own work.

The aim of our filmmaking camps is to provide knowledge, practical skills and support to emerging filmmakers looking to develop ambitious and creative short films, documentaries and more. 

Landon Carver welcomes those without any previous experience with film production, emerging filmmakers and those with previous experience who would like to improve their skills, develop new ones and meet other people passionate about cinema and its development. We welcome diversity of filmmaking styles, themes and creative approaches. Through our camps, we are encouraging people to develop good stories and a passionate vision for filmmaking. The goal is to open the door to new and emerging ideas and talent.
